This is a lovely waterbirth video from YouTube. Notice how the noises the mother is making sound much more pleasurable than the agonizing moans you hear from most mothers who choose the medical model of childbirth. While this waterbirth does have a midwife in attendance, the midwife seems to do a fairly decent job of letting things happen naturally. Notice how easily the baby slides out into the birthing tub. A waterbirth is a very natural transition and nobody has to yank it, pull it or manipulate it. A natural waterbirth is such a peaceful, gentle, loving greeting. Why would you want your baby to come into this world under the violent, torturous conditions of the medical model of childbirth when a natural waterbirth is a perfectly acceptable option? This is just beautiful.
